On a pronghorn-hunt in South-Wyoming in late September 2006, we came close to this big Hawk. I took this photo from our truck. I'm not an expert on North-American raptors, but my guess is that it is a juvenile Red-tailed Hawk, western subspecies. If someone can tell me kind of Hawk this is, I would really appreciate it.
